CANCELLATION AND REBOOKING POLICY - rentals, courses and camps
Please note that the overview below is the cancellation policy from you as a customer. Services that are weather-dependent may be canceled by the organizer on short notice. It is always the organizer who determines whether the weather is suitable for the booked activity. In case of cancellation or rebooking by the organizer, you as a customer always have the option to rebook or receive a refund without charge – regardless of the notice period.
Rental:
- It is not possible to refund or rebook less than 24 hours before the start.
- It is free to rebook or receive a 100% refund (minus DKK 150 administrative fee) more than 24 hours before the start.
Courses:
- It is not possible to refund or rebook less than 24 hours before the start.
- It is free to rebook or receive a 100% refund (minus DKK 150 administrative fee) more than 24 hours before the start.
Camps:
- It is not possible to refund or rebook less than 30 days before the start.
- It is free to rebook or receive a 100% refund (minus DKK 150 administrative fee) more than 30 days before the start.
Rental:
* When renting, it is ALWAYS the customer's responsibility to ensure that the weather is suitable for the booked activity.
A service is considered rental if it involves renting equipment WITHOUT an instructor. If an instructor is present, it is considered a course instead.
Cancellation by organizer before execution
The organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone equipment bookings up to the agreed time. Should the organizer cancel your booking, you can rebook or receive a refund without cost.
Cancellation by customer before execution
As a customer, you can cancel at the latest 24 hours before the agreed date and time – You can rebook your reservation for free or receive a refund with a refund fee of DKK 150. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the start, you are obligated to pay for the rental, even if you are prevented or do not wish to rent the equipment in question.
Responsibility
As a customer, it is your responsibility to ensure that the equipment is used correctly, that there are no defects before use, that conditions are safe, and that no damage occurs to the equipment. Damage to rented equipment or caused by rented equipment is 100% at the customer's expense, and Møn Surf reserves the right to cover all costs for repair or replacement of lost or damaged equipment.
Courses:
Right of withdrawal
Courses fall under the paragraph "purchase of tickets for cultural events" and are therefore not covered by the rule of 14 days' right of withdrawal, even if they are purchased online.
Cancellation by organizer before execution
We work with weather sports, and we therefore reserve the right to postpone a course if the weather is not suitable on the given day. It is always us who decide whether the weather is suitable or not for the chosen activity, and we strive as much as possible to find a new day as soon as possible.
Minimum number of participants
Courses where multiple participants can sign up will be moved or cancelled if there are fewer than 4 registrations. This applies, for example, to the Windsurf beginner course, SUP intro course, and guided SUP tour to Møns Klint.
Therefore, be prepared that your course may be postponed to another day on short notice. You will receive a message about this. If you cannot attend on the next course date, you will receive a refund of your payment or have the course credited in our system.
Cancellation by student.
If you book a kitesurfing course at a desired time within a period, you reserve a date and time that will block other potential bookings. If you are prevented from attending your booking, you must notify us as soon as possible so that we can fill your spot with others. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the course starts, we reserve the right to charge 50% of the course price as a fee. If you fail to show up for the course, we will charge 100% of the course price. We reserve the right to cancel and rebook in relation to weather conditions.
On our courses, we offer a wind guarantee. This means that we only conduct your course as long as wind and weather conditions allow it. Should the weather forecasts fail, we will, of course, jointly agree on a new date for your course to be conducted. The wind guarantee applies if WE assess that the conditions on the desired day will not work for the chosen activity. It is always our call whether the weather will work or not. Similarly, changing conditions during the course will occur, and it is always our responsibility as instructors to decide whether a course should continue or stop. With us, payment is always settled up to the first full hour, and the remaining time can either be transferred to a new date by agreement or refunded if desired. For example: if half of the course is completed, half of the money can be refunded or transferred to a new date. If students wish to use their own equipment, we always reserve the right to refuse the use of the equipment if our instructor assesses that it does not meet respective safety standards. For us, safety is the first priority, and we, for example, refuse to teach with kite equipment that is 5 years old, as safety has improved significantly with new equipment.
Insurance and liability
Møn Surf has all statutory liability insurances and teaches according to Danish Sailing Association standards. Course participants must check with their own insurance whether they are covered for potential injury to themselves, other persons, and rental equipment. In the 10 years we have existed, we have not needed to process insurance claims or similar and always take all necessary safety precautions in connection with water sports instruction.
Persons under 18 years
All persons under 18 years must sign a guardian statement upon arrival and are otherwise booked on the same terms as persons over 18 years.
Camps:
Cancellation by organizer before execution
The organizer reserves the right to cancel the event before it has started. In the event of a cancellation, you as a customer can rebook your camp/course or receive a full refund of the amount paid.
Cancellation by customer before execution
As a customer, you pay the full amount for the camp upon booking, but have the right to cancel your booking no later than 30 days before the start and receive a refund of the amount paid minus DKK 150 administrative fee per participant. If the booking is canceled later than 30 days before the camp start, the camp cannot be refunded. It is possible to change the participant's name up to the camp start. You can rebook the camp no later than 30 days before the camp start.
