Beginner Course

Are you ready to start your windsurfing adventure? This beginner course gives you a basic introduction to the sport. Here you will learn all the essentials – from balancing on the board to steering the sail – all under the expert guidance of experienced instructors who will ensure you feel safe every step of the way.

We focus on a safe start, and your instructor will be close by so you quickly gain confidence on the water.

Do you want to give your family or group of friends an unforgettable experience on the water? Then a private windsurfing course is the perfect activity! Everyone is welcome here – regardless of age and experience – and we tailor the course completely to your wishes. We have many years of experience with both children, adults and older surfers and guarantee a fantastic experience for everyone who wants to learn to surf and want to share a memorable time with family or friends.

Get your very own instructor who will tailor the lessons to your needs and wishes, so you can get the most out of your time on the water. Whether you are a beginner looking for a safe introduction to the sport, or an experienced windsurfer looking to finetune techniques like trapeze use, beach starts or jibe, private lessons are tailored just for you.

Private lessons allow you to work intensively on your personal goals, while our experienced instructor guides you step by step.

Where do we teach?

We teach 75% of the lessons at Surfspot Farø, which is located right by the highway exit to Bogø and Møn.


When learning to windsurf, you need three things:

Surfspot Farø is one of Denmark's best spots for beginners. We can surf in most wind directions. In the summer it is often windier on Farø than on other spots on Zealand, thanks to a Venturi effect from the landscape.

FAQ

Who can join?

The only requirement to participate in our windsurfing beginner course is that you can swim a minimum of 200 meters and that you are at least 12 years old. If you are between 12 - 16 years old, mom or dad must be present on the beach.

For families with children under 12, we recommend booking a private course as there is no minimum age. However, children must still be able to swim a minimum of 200 meters.

What should I bring to the course?

  • Swimwear
  • We recommend bringing a hat or sunglasses - always use a string on your glasses.
  • Sunscreen!
  • Drinking water.

Feel free to bring neoprene shoes with white ones if you own this.

We'll take care of the rest.

What if the wind is too weak or too strong?

We always choose the right conditions to suit your level, so you have a safe and comfortable experience. But remember, as a windsurfer it is important to learn to navigate in all types of weather conditions.

If your instructor determines that the weather is not ideal for your session, they will find a new time for you.

You only pay for the lesson once it has been completed. If we have to rebook and cannot find an alternative time, you will be refunded for your session.

Your safety and the quality of your session are always our top priority!

Where can I buy equipment after completing the course?

Ask your instructor for recommendations for equipment.

There can be advantages to buying used equipment, but it can also be a risky and expensive experience.
